Summer Equipment list

• Boots; Boots need to be of a good quality and offer good ankle support vibram type sole for scrambling. A boot with a slightly stiffer sole is an advantage

• Walking Trousers, (No Denims) If the weather is kind! shorts if you prefer however have a pair of full length trousers in your bag

• Upper Body: warm clothing , layers , Wicking Tops and fleeces

• Rucksack: 30-40 Lts is the best size

• Waterproofs a definite for Scottish summers

• Gaiters. Essential for all courses.

• Warm clothing. Lots of layers.

• Hat. You loose 20% of your heat through your head.

• Gloves/. Bring a spare pair too.

• Survival Bag. The essential minimum survival kit.

• Torch. Head torches are best. Bring spare batteries and bulb.

• Sunglasses Sun cream From one extreme to the other (usually within 15 mins)

• Compass and Whistle.

• Thermos Flask

• Personal First Aid kit / Blister Kit

• Plastic Rucksack Liner ,

• Camera and Spare Film

• Mossie spray, Top Tip : Skin so Soft from Avon , its about £2.00 per bottle

• Packed lunch / hill snacks of your choice
